Where is my Magnifying Mirror?

Where is that Magnifying Mirror, You Saw on the site?

Hello everyone, I think it's time to let everyone know again if you can’t find the magnifying mirror you searched for on the My Health and Beauty site you are not going mad! Hi, it's Deb again wanting to let you know we only put the mirror range that is in stock on the site. If the warehouse notifies us of no stock, then that model is then removed until it comes back into stock. We are mindful and do not want to disappoint our customers by taking payments and then having to advise there is no stock.   We are like the rest of the country having freight issues regarding the timing it takes to import the goods. That can be up to 6 months for just the one shipment by sea and 8 weeks even when flying stock across. Prices accordingly have been set to cover the current overseas shipping which will settle down. Currently, our electric models like the HL85C, LED88C, and HL75C are in short supply however they will come back into stock. The mirrors will be put back online as soon as we have the arrival date. Last month we flew stock across with some models like the wall-mounted JP7506C and the JP7808 are updated with the side screws being engineered out. The 5x and 8x magnifying mirrors have a whole new look and are very practical as side screws over the long term tend to fall off and get lost.
Whilst vanity magnifying mirrors are not as popular as they used to be check out the new finishes available on the gunmetal or rose gold finishes, they look very smart. Don’t forget the best feature of a vanity mirror is you can take it anywhere around the house and get the very best natural light from any window so you can see your complexion very clearly – something you can’t do with a wall mount mirror. We also want you to know that we pack and post the same day as your order which generally means if Australia post is on track, you should receive your parcel within 3 or 4 days at the very worst. The team at myhealthandbeauty.com.au wants to ensure you have a good experience and making sure customers receive their purchase as fast as possible is part of the plan. Please don't leave it for two weeks before you call. Our systems can get to the issue very quickly why your purchase has not been received.

I hope you have enjoyed this small piece of advice.
Remember Keep smiling have fun and do the best
  you can every day.

8x Magnifying Mirror NEW Chrome Wall Mount

8x Magnifying Mirror NEW Chrome Wall Mount

Magnifying Mirror 8x Wall Mounted is another common question we get these days.

Hi, its Debra
Time for information on our New Chrome Magnifying 8x wall-mounted mirror. New with an easy cleaning chrome finish where previously it was satin nickel and most importantly the side nuts have been engineered out making it more streamlined and modern looking.

For Ladies and Men, age does tend to creep up on us and we hate to admit but a bit of help would not go astray when you want to put your makeup on or put your contact lenses in or even attend to blemished on your skin. For some of us, it gets even harder if you already wear glasses, taking glasses off makes it harder. This fantastic 8x magnified mirror we guarantee will make your life easier.
You don’t have lights power or batteries to worry about, it works just fault-free forever.

It’s like being able to see again.

8x magnification is a step up from the commonly used 5x magnifying mirrors. It’s a gentle step not like the 10x magnifying mirrors which can be confronting if you have not used one before.

When using this mirror your face will be just 4 inches or 10 cm away from the surface so your image in the mirror is not distorted. Many people think you can stand back in any position, and it just gives you a bigger version of your face thinking it will make it easier to put makeup on. This can be a very blurred image or even show your face upside down. Distance away from the glass surface is very important.

This lifesaving magnifying mirror 8x wall mounted will extend out 34cm from the wall. Our 7808C wall mount magnifying mirror is of the highest quality and comes only in a chrome finish currently. This mirror itself can be positioned from side to side 180 degrees, is double-sided and by turning the mirror you can have either 8x magnification for close-up attention or 1x to see that all is in order before you walk out the door.

As always, I like to give you the space requirement for the magnifying mirror so you can plan the best place to put it. These dimensions can be used should you wish to place the mirror inside a cabinet which has become more popular these days. This mirror will fold back flat against the wall so it’s neat and tidy the dimensions are as follows with the unit folded back into the smallest possible configuration 32cm high x 26cm wide and 3cm deep.

Mounting this magnifying mirror on the wall is the easiest of all with two screws provided, they should be screwed directly into timber located behind the plaster or if you have a tiled surface then drill the holes and put plastic plugs in then screw your screws into the plugs.

Just a quick reminder you do not mount the mirror inside the shower cubicle. The mirror is real glass and can shatter easily should hot water hit the surface or if you slip and grab for the mirror on instinct it can be very dangerous. Broken glass inside a shower cubicle can result in a nasty cut. The mirrors are made from steel for strength but will rust when continuously doused in shower water. Chrome, Gold, or Brass plating will not prevent steel from rusting when they get wet with shower water every day.

The Jerdon 7808c magnifying mirror 8x is a quality buy and should last a lifetime.
Keep watching as we have more new models to bring you

Stay safe

New Matt Black 5x Wall Mount Magnifying Mirror Has Landed.

Posted by Debra on 30 November 2017

Hi everyone well Christmas is coming fast with our new Matt  Black 5x wall-mount magnifying mirror arriving in a nick of time.  This is a really nice model and will look wonderful in your trendy new bathroom as Black is the finish these days.

With the addition of a black finish, it now means here at My Health and Beauty we can offer this 5x wall mount mirror in 4 different finishes Chrome, Gold, Satin Nickel and Matt Black. Just a side note here believe it or not we have had interior designers ask if we could get mirrors done with a RED finish that's just going a little too far.
It is fairly standard in all the dimensions that are 20cm in diameter, however, the extension is now set at 30cm still more than ample.

The round base that mounts to the wall gives it a solid base and durability in its pivot actions. This mirror itself can be positioned from side to side 180 degrees, is double sided and by turning the mirror you can have either 5x magnification for close up attention or 1x to see that all is in order before you walk out the door.
As always I like to give you the space requirement for the magnifying mirror so you can plan the best place to put it. These dimensions can be used should you wish to place the mirror inside a cabinet which has become more popular these days. This mirror will fold back flat against the wall so it's neat and tidy the dimensions are as follows with the unit folded back into the smallest possible configuration  32cm high x 30cm wide and 4cm deep.

Mounting this magnifying mirror on the wall is the easiest of all with two screws provided, they should be screwed directly into timber located behind the plaster or if you have a tiled surface then drill the holes and put plastic plugs in then screw your screws into the plugs.

This is the most expensive mirror to have made and with the new packaging inside a foam box with an outer cardboard cover this mirror needs to be sent out in a 5KG express bag because of the external box dimensions. It's a little more expensive for that reason however we want you to receive your mirror in good order. The thinner boxes with an inner cardboard packaging do not travel well in the mail.

A normal mounting in a bathroom will see your mirror last for a long time with the only action you need to do is keep your mirror nice and clean which can be done with a soft rag.

Just a quick mention before I go. We often get asked what magnification do you suggest? This is a tough one not knowing each person's circumstance. As a general rule if you wear glasses then you will need the higher magnifications from 7x upwards. The middle of the road magnification most common is the 5x so if you are not sure we would start here. Keep in mind a magnification mirror is like a new pair of glasses it will take a couple of use for your eyes to adjust.

Please understand with Christmas coming fast delivery of your mirror will sometimes be slower than you expect. We do pack and send same day as purchase however if Australia Post is backlogged or our road freight service is flat out it will simply take a little longer. By all means, if you have concerns feel free to call or email.

Just one more thing to mention and that is, do not judge the colour of any finish of the mirrors in the images. Gold is really Gold Colour and Matt Black is really Matt black despite what you see in the images. Photographing mirrors is very hard because all surfaces pick up the different light reflections in the room.

We are waiting patiently for our container to land with new stock lines, I will inform you about them as soon as I can get my hands on them.

Have fun shopping for Christmas - keep that smile going and I; ll be in touch soon.

Best Buying Online Tips For Magnifying Mirror in 2017

Posted by Debbie on 6 November 2017

I sit here and look at my computer screen and scroll through the enormous amount of offerings for magnifying mirrors, wall mount mirrors or makeup mirrors. I see the deceptive tricks used by sellers and I wonder how it is you the customer can get the upper hand in the sale. I mean by upper hand knowing what you're getting, have recourse if you have issues, choose the right mirror if it's an electric model or are you able to call someone and ask a question.
Looking through the sites online there is a plethora of American sites and even American sites that masquerade as Australian. These guys are the worst of the worse as they pretend to be from Australia yet their goods are drop shipped from the US with no regard for local laws. You also see many of our big retailers advertising for your dollar also. Apart from overpricing have you ever tried to contact one of these retailers on the phone? If you do happen to have someone pick up the phone then you will likely get a shop assistant? You will know they have far too many other things to worry about than to give you the information you seek.  Many of those sites advertise without adding freight and handling fees and there is a distinct lack of haste.

eBay items look attractive until you follow through and see that the recommended mirrors come from overseas or are no names with no warranty and no returns, or not contactable. Great prices we do admit if you are ok with waiting weeks for your delivery. Disappointing when your new LED lighted mirror fails within weeks of using it. Remember the weak point in LED lighted mirrors particularly from China is the electronics that fail not so much the globes. The sting in the tail is you cannot get anything done if there is an issue or it arrives broken or if you want to return it, from experience it sometimes does not arrive at all let alone the disappointing quality.
Here at MHB we average more than a 100 calls a year from somebody who thought they were doing the right thing by buying from those big US sites and not know that they will only work in America as they use only half the power voltage we do here in Australia.  America uses 110 volt Australia 240 volts. Thinking that a travel adaptor so you can plug it in will solve your problem is a huge mistake.

If you are buying online from a supplier the first basic step is you must be able to find a phone number on their site to call them if you want to just check them out, need information or you need an issue resolved.  Some of the US sites do have a number to call if you are happy to ring international. There are many online stores here in Australia including those eBay sellers you just cannot contact. Email is one option, however, these go mostly to the backburner after all the sale has been made. A virtual messenger on some sites is a horrible time wasting experience as many people do not realize they are corresponding with a computer despite the fact there appears to be a nice helpful face who asks how they can help. It's like a Russian style negotiation as they always defer to a higher authority meaning you get no joy there.

Here at MHB you will not have any of those issues. We have our phone number listed in the top right-hand corner of every page. Freight is not an extra on our site the price you see is the mirror, GST, and freight all inclusive, no nasty extra surprises. If we have run out stock it's removed from the store unless we have a set date for when the container arrives. Our brands are Jerdon and Zadro mirrors so we don't get the faults that happen with the cheapies. If you are looking for guidance on what best to buy or just checking up when you can expect your purchase to arrive then, by all means, gives us a call. We always go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction.
We have our own warehouse in Melbourne which means we can get goods out as fast as possible.
We know from experience that getting your item to you fast means a lot.  We process same day from the sale to freighting provided we meet the 2 o'clock cut off. Our team works hard to maintain that standard.
Hopefully, this information will make your online buying experience a little easier. Our magnifying mirrors be they the travel type, wall mounted, LED lighted or even the 15x spot mirror make great gifts for Christmas so keep us in mind.

You have everything to smile for now as family time and Christmas is coming fast

Gold Magnifying Mirrors

Posted on 28 September 2017

Do you have Gold magnifying mirrors is a question we get asked a little more often these days. It is hard to please everyone as the conversation invariable swings round to find out if different color golds are available with the Rose Gold the most asked for. We guess people are adding a little bling to their bathroom these days and are not so focused the bathroom being all Chrome or all satin nickel or even black that has become trendy these days.

Manufactures don't build many gold mirrors as they are simply not in demand. We have waited up to 12 months at times to get any gold models. Currently, we are carrying 3 different models.  Wall mounted Halo Lighted mirror,  one non-lighted wall mount mirror, and one vanity model. Our MC229 7 times magnification travel mirror has some gold trim on the stand that supports it.

I have listed the models here with a link to the page if you would like to look further 7506G is our double sided 5 times magnification wall mount model. Our HL75G is the wall mounted magnifying mirror with halo lighting and 5 x magnification. And the vanity model the 7505g magnifying mirror is an adjustable height 5x magnification model. I also add the MC229 which has a nice gold part of the stand it sits on here as well.
These gold magnifying mirrors are all from the high-quality Jerdon family they don't tarnish easily and hold their polished finish very well.

I must say it is very difficult to represent the color of the gold through the images on the site which is why you see the different shades.
I would suggest you be quick as it could be some time before we get or even stock them again.

Well, it is only a short post this time I hope to bring you some exciting news about some Black model mirrors shortly. It's been tough to get quality, hence the delayed introduction.
Really hoping they get here before Christmas.

Remember to keep smiling and make the world a better place.
Debra
